Monk & Gang

Only October got saved from an old calendar and put on my desk’s door with a couple of revisions for my own entertainment.

Sally Ann Brown (Charlie Brown’s little sister) and Linus van Pelt (younger brother of Lucy van Pelt) are waiting together in the pumpkin patch on Halloween night for the Great Pumpkin, when along comes Adrian Monk — another non-trick-or-treater. Linus is overjoyed to see Mr. Monk and invites him to join their skip-the-social-party for something better event.

Rain and Fog

  • Posted on February 6, 2008

It’s a wonderful week for me when almost all the days are rain and fog! Sleep becomes the best quality and only snowstorms can make it more quiet.

The sound of the rain outdoors, as my window stays open regardless of the temperature, keeps me from waking up in-between the time I fall asleep and wake up for the day; plus, that’s when the air’s scent is usually as clean as it can be! Ahh . . . gotta love all those negative ions recharging the soul!

Rain during the day means less traffic; both from cars and people walking up and down the road. Why should I complain when there hardly is either most of the time for where I’m at? Because I’d rather be where there are no cars and no people walking by . . . ever. But, considering how many people there are in the world now, I’ll be thankful for what I’ve got.

Now what’s so wonderful about fog for me? Mostly for the same reasons as rain, except fog brings an aura of mystery all around. It sparks the imagination by energizing the senses. Plus, fog simply is a work of art that’s ever-changing! You either love it or you don’t. The only time I don’t love fog is when I have to drive a car through it (who doesn’t dislike that too?!).
