Is it necessary to ask why constantly asking questions would be labeled as a symptom and characteristic of Aspergers?
Are neurotypical people able to realize why Asperger’s Syndrome people must ask more questions than people normally do? Why are NTs hesitant (i.e., parents of AS children) to ask questions right from the sources (in this case, adult aspies are the sources) that may help them understand something better?
I hope I’m wrong, but to me it sounds like the statement, ‘constantly asking questions’ is implying that most people don’t like those who ask more questions than what they’re used to. Why can’t people understand that asking questions is the only way to get answers to things that you might not otherwise understand?
The only explanation I can think of as to why a person would be annoyed over frequent questions is that s/he is content with her/his life the way it is. If you’re in the majority, you don’t have a whole lot of changing that you need to do in order to fit in. You’re already there, so why would you have as many questions as someone who doesn’t understand why society constantly rejects them?
Aspies are left with the guessing game constantly. People can be somewhat nice for a while and then all of a sudden, for some unknown reason, those same people turn icy cold towards you. No one in the ‘burg wants to let you in on their secret. Such shamefully shunning behavior causes the outcast soul to search for answers like a detective trying to solve a murder mystery.
I hope that people know when they asked me (or some other aspies) questions about asperger related behavior, those questions actually answer question aspies have about how their different way of thinking is perceived by the neurotypical world.

Dean,
What do your questions have to do with Asperger’s Syndrome? What does ‘Support America’ have to do with the Republican Symbol? What does Jesus have to do with the topic of bombs? These are all questions which lead to destructive arguments which I don’t want to get involved in.
I share what political side I lean towards and I share my faith not for debate, but rather to simply let others realize not everyone believes and/or thinks the same way. There is no reason for anyone to take personal offense just because I’m exercising my right to express who I am like everyone else is doing.
I hope you understand. If not, then I’m sure I’ll notice that right away.
What does that red, white and blue elephant have to do with supporting America or Christian values? Who would Jesus bomb?
