Warning Signs

I can’t remember where I read something about ‘warning signs’ to watch out for with Asperger’s syndrome children stating that they focus on objects rather than people. It doesn’t matter because I doubt there is anything to counterbalance this instilled fear.

Here is something for the neurotypical people to think about:

Who would you prefer to be the engineer who designs the airplane you take your next ride on or who is responsible for how safe and efficient your car is?

A.) A child who grew up focusing on people and learned how to master being social correct.

B.) A child who grew up focusing on objects to maximize his (or her) understanding of how they work.

I say let Aspie children fully embrace their passion and let neurotypical children play house. Then when they grow up, the NT families on their way to Disneyland, and the NT business executives, can do all their socializing affairs with greater safety aboard an airplane; while the AS scientists, engineers, high-tech geeks, etc. get paid a fair salary for their attention to detail and higher levels of logic at work that the whole human race benefits from!

If you want to use the term ‘warning signs,’ then use it for warning people who are ‘long-term pattern’ handicapped. This world has enough nearsighted people who can only see the carrot dangling in front of their nose.
